The art of training trees...
Pleaching refers to a technique of interweaving flexible young shoots and dead branches within a hedgerow or tree to produce a desired shape. Pleaching is often used to create walks, tunnels, arches, creative shapes and growth forms, and can also be used to create shelter and privacy. Branches are woven together and through a natural phenomenon known as inosculation the trees will grow together to strengthen and thicken a hedge or tree.
Pleaching requires expertise and a careful hand to ensure that perfect finish. Greenscape has a wealth of experience in gardening, tree care, pruning and a working knowledge of tree growth and planting which gives our clients excellent end results and a pleached hedge or tree they can be proud of.
