Greenscape completes the installation of 150m2 of Hydroseeding in Thetford, Norfolk
As part of a recent warehouse expansion project, our client had a small portion of steep, unusable land which needed a low maintenance, cost effective finish. The steep bank was made up of poor sub soil, poor topsoil and type one stone.
Greenscape put together a combined approach to establish grass over the area. This approach was one which fitted well with our clients end of project budget requirements against a more expensive, hard landscaping option.
The Solution
Import graded topsoil to a depth of 150mm where possible. Soil graded and battered into formation.
Areas which proved too steeper gradient to import soil were dressed with Proganics biotic soil medium. Proganics will ensure rapid establishment of the grass and provide nurishment whilst a mature root system is being established.
Finally Flexterra Flexible Growth Medium was applied with the seed mixture. Flexterra ensured good adherance to the bank as well as protecting the soil beneath from potential erosion from heavy down pours. This phase of work was the last before project hand over and despite being carried out in winter, we can successfully carry out "Dormant Seeding' safe in the knowledge the seed will remain protected by the mulch and the dispersal uninterupted until germination.
